Mapping Minneapolis Rent Prices This Fall (September 2016)

Jumping two spots this month, Minneapolis became the 18th most expensive rental market in the nation. The price of one bedroom units increased 4% to a median of $1,300, while two bedrooms increased 3.9% to $1,610. Since this time last year, both one and two bedroom units in Minneapolis are up 15%.

This fall, Downtown East ($1,900), Warehouse District ($1,710), and Lyn Lake ($1,610) were the most expensive neighborhoods to rent. More affordable areas priced below $1,200 included Prospect Park, St. Anthony West, and Marcy Holmes.
