Mapping Los Angeles Rent Prices This Fall (September 2016)

Coming into the fall, Los Angeles saw declines in both one and two bedroom prices. One bedrooms fell 3.5% to a median of $1,920, while two bedrooms dropped 2.3% to $2,950. However, on a year over year basis, the price of two bedrooms is up over 11%.

Ranging between median monthly prices of $2,750 – $3,000 for one bedroom units, coastal Santa Monica, Venice, and Marina del Rey were the most expensive areas to rent this fall. Following closely behind, Westwood ($2,700), Beverly Hills ($2,695), and Pacific Palisades ($2,600) had the next priciest rentals.
Mid-range priced rentals could be found closer to the center of the city and include Olympic Park ($1,495), Westlake ($1,550), and Wilshire Center – Koreatown ($1,580).
