Tied with Bakersfield, Columbus ranked as the 80th most expensive rental market in the nation. One bedroom rent jumped 5.5% last month to $770, while two bedrooms grew 1.9% to $1,070. Notably, on a year over year basis, two bedroom rent is up 11.5%.

This summer, Downtown Columbus ($1,300) became the most expensive neighborhood to rent, outpacing Harrison West and Brewery District. Italian Village ($1,295) followed closely behind as second while Harrison West ($1,250) and Brewery District ($1,250) fell to third. More affordable rentals, priced under $700, could be found in Northeast, or Bridgeview, Near East, et Franklinton.
Meanwhile on the other end of the cost spectrum, Bexley and South Linden continued to be the most affordable neighborhoods with rents both at $450.
