Falling two spots this month, Atlanta ranked as the 21st most expensive city to rent in the nation. The price of one bedroom units fell 3.8% to a median of $1,260, while two bedroom units dropped 3% to $1,600.
While Morningside – Lenox Park and Druid Hills had the fastest growing rent since last quarter, both up over 13%, North Buckhead and Peachtree Hills saw the biggest rent dips, down 12.8% and 12.6%, respectively.
All above the $1,700 threshold for one bedroom units, Peachtree Heights West, Colonial, and South Tuxedo Park were the most expensive neighborhoods to rent this summer. On the other end of the cost spectrum, Hunter Hills ($610), Grove Park ($620), and West Lake ($630) were the least expensive areas to rent.
