Falling one spot last month, Atlanta became the 19th most expensive rental market in the nation. One bedroom rent decreased 0.7% to $1,460, while two bedrooms fell 3.2% to $1,810. Though on a downward monthly trend, both bedroom prices have actually grown on a year over year basis, with one bedrooms up 7.4%.
This fall, Midtown ($1,880), South Tuxedo Park ($1,750), and North Buckhead ($1,700) were the most expensive neighborhoods to rent. More affordable rentals priced closer to the city one bedroom median of $1,460 could be found in Peachtree Center, Reynoldstown, and Lenox.
Meanwhile, the most affordable areas, all priced under $700, were West Lake, Grove Park, and Washington Park.
