Los Angeles Rent Prices Increased 5.2% In 2016

Los Angeles ended 2016 as the 7th most expensive city to rent in the nation. Since this time last year, the median price of one bedroom units is up 5.2%.

The neighborhood with the fastest growing rent this December was Hollywood Hills West (+13%). Right behind that, Mid-City (+12%), Beverly Hills (+12%), and Olympic Park (+10%) were the next fastest growing areas.
On the other end of the spectrum, Downtown Los Angeles had the biggest year over year decrease, dropping 8% since last year. PICO and Westwood followed behind that, both with 5% decreases in rent.
