Los Angeles Metro Report: May 2018

The Zumper Los Angeles Metro Report analyzed active listings in March across 18 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The California state median was $1,734 last month.

The Most Expensive

Santa Monica, CA rent grew $60 last month to $3,350 and continued to rank as the priciest in the metro.

Los Angeles, Californie moved up 2 spots to become the second most expensive with rent growing $50 to $2,300.

Glendale, CA, similar to last month, continued to rank as third with rent at $2,290.

The Least Expensive

Pomona, CA rent, though growing $10 to $1,300, remained the most affordable.

Hawthorne & Bellflower, CA tied for second with prices both at $1,350.

Whittier, CA moved up one spot to rank as third with rent at $1,400.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Anaheim, CA had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.4%.

Glendale, CA rent saw the second largest year over year growth rate, climbing 14.5%.

Lakewood, CA was third with rent growing 13.8%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Whittier, CA rent jumped 5.3% last month, making it the fastest growing.

Lakewood, CA had the second fastest growing rent, up 5.1%.

TorranceSanta Monica, CA tied for third both with prices climbing 5% last month.LAMay
