Everyone has their thing. For some it’s yoga or swanky cycling; for others it’s hiking, reading, or raising house plants. In Colorado, and specifically in Denver, it’s BEER. Colorado leads the US in both production of beer per capita and number of breweries per capita. It’s no wonder it’s capital has become known as “The Napa Valley of Colorado.”
Beer runs so deep through Colorado’s roots that the very first permanent building in Denver (which housed the city’s first government) was a saloon called the Apollo Hall. To this day, you’ll find hundreds of breweries across the state, with many of them concentrated in the Greater Denver Area. And if you’re lucky enough, you can live within walking distance of your neighborhood’s most popular one. If “near good beer” is higher on your apartment hunting checklist than “functioning lights,” these might just be the apartments for you.

If a good ol’ traditionally brewed lager is your thing, you’re going to love Bierstadt. Grab a pils, a snack, or a cider in the tasting room that’s located just under a mile away from your new home at Post River North.
Fiction Beer Company – East Colfax

Every beer at Fiction is brewed based upon a famous literary tale, from fantasy and sci-fi to mystery and classics. Think of it as book club meets beer club. And, while it might be a bit longer of a journey than some of the other breweries, you can live a short 2 mile trip from Fiction at 1190 Birch.
