The Zumper Houston Metro Report analyzed active listings last month across metro cities to highlight the most and least expensive cities and those with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $1,137 last month.

The Most Expensive
- Sugar Land ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,510.
- Pearland was the second priciest with rent at $1,350.
- League City ranked third with rent at $1,270.
The Least Expensive
- Huntsville ranked the most affordable city with rent priced at $850.
- Pasadena was second with rent at $900.
- Texas City & Lake Jackson were tied for third with rents both at $920.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
- La Porte had the fastest growing rent, up 11.2% since this time last year.
- Texas City saw rent climb 10.8%, making it the second fastest growing.
- Galveston was third with rent increasing 4.7%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
- Baytown had the largest monthly growth rate, up 6.4%.
- Texas City was second with rent climbing 2.2%.
- Galveston ranked as third with rent increasing 1.8% last month.
