The Zumper Houston Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in October 2019 across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $961 last month.

The Most Expensive
–Sugar Land was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,170.
–Pearland rent grew 0.9% to $1,150 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Missouri City was third with rent priced at $1,140.
The Least Expensive
–Huntsville ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $590.
–Pasadena was second with rent at $770.
–Conroe ranked as third with rent down 1.0% to $960.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Pearland had the fastest growing rent, up 15.0% since this time last year.
–Baytown saw rent climb 12.8%, making it the second fastest growing.
–Galveston was third with rent growing 8.9%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Huntsville had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.4%.
–Missouri City rent jumped 2.7% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Pasadena ranked as third with rent climbing 1.3%.
