The Zumper Houston Metro Report analyzed over 40,000 active listings in April across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Houston, Texas continued to reign as the most expensive city to rent in the metro area. One bedroom units were priced at a median of $1,090.

Missouri City, TX, close behind, was the second priciest city with rent at $1,080.

Pearland, TX was third at $1,060.

Pasadena, TX remained the least expensive city to rent with one bedroom units priced at $700.

Conroe, TX had the second most affordable rent at $780.

Spring, TX ranked as third with rent priced at $850.

Baytown, TX had the the largest yearly growth rate, up 14.6%.

Missouri City, TX rent has climbed 12.5% since this time last year, making it the second fastest growing in the metro.

Pearland, TX ranked as third with an 8.2% yearly growth rate.
