Houston Metro Report: March 2018

The Zumper Houston Metro Report analyzed active listings in February across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas state median for one bedroom units was $921 last month.

The Most Expensive

Houston, Texas rent grew $60 to $1,260 and remained the most expensive in the metro.

Sugar Land, TX was second with one bedrooms priced at $1,140.

Missouri City, TX rent climbed $30, settling at $1,110, and up one spot to rank in the top three markets as third.

The Least Expensive

Pasadena, TX was the most affordable city to rent with one bedrooms priced at $720.

Baytown, TX rent dropped $40 to $750 but remained the second least expensive in the metro.

Conroe, TX ranked as third with rent at $900.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

The Woodlands, TX had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 10%.

Sugar Land, TX followed closely behind as second with rent climbing 9.6%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Houston, Texas rent had the largest monthly growth rate, increasing 5%.

Spring, TX was the second fastest growing last month, climbing 4.4%.HoustonMar
