The Zumper Houston Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in November 2019 across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $944 last month.

–Sugar Land was the most expensive city with one bedrooms at $1,170.
–Missouri City and Pearland rents were both priced at $1,140 and tied for the second most expensive city.
–Houston followed behind with rent at $1,040.

–Huntsville ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $620.
–Pasadena was second with rent at $790.
–Baytown ranked as third with rent down 5.2% to $920.

–Sugar Land had the fastest growing rent, up 10.4% since this time last year.
–Galveston saw rent climb 9.4%, making it the second.
–Pearland was third with rent jumping 6.5% year over year.
