The Zumper Houston Metro Report analyzed over 27,000 active listings in November across the 10 most populated cities in the area to highlight the most expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
Cities Ranked By Rent

–Houston, Texas ranked as the most expensive city to rent in the metro area with one bedroom units priced at a median of $1,090. The rent is currently $230 more expensive than the $860 state median.
–Sugar Land, TX & Pearland, TX were tied as the second priciest cities to rent, with one bedrooms at a median price of $1,030.
–Missouri City, TX, only $10 behind Sugar Land and Pearland, ranked as the fourth most expensive city to rent. One bedroom units were priced at a median of $1,020.
–The Woodlands, TX followed closely behind Missouri City with one bedroom units at a median of $1,010.
Cities Ranked By Y/Y% Change

–Pasadena, TX had the fastest growing rent, with the price of one bedroom units up 8.3% since last year.
–Houston, Texas came in second with a 4.8% yearly growth rate.
–The Woodlands, TX ranked as the third city with the fastest growing rent, jumping 4.1% since last year.
