Houston Metro Report: April 2017

The Zumper Houston Metro Report analyzed over 35,000 active listings in March across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Most Expensive

Houston, Texas was the most expensive city to rent in the metro area. One bedroom units were priced at a median of $1,150.

Missouri City, TX had the second priciest rent, with one bedroom units at $1,080.

Pearland, TX, following closely behind Missouri City, ranked as third with rent at $1,050.

Least Expensive

Pasadena, TX was the most affordable city to rent with one bedroom units priced at $700.

Conroe, TX ranked as second with rent at $800.

Spring, TX rents were at $860, making it the third most affordable city.

Fastest Growing

Houston & Baytown, TX were tied for the city with the fastest growing rents, both up 15% since this time last year.

Pasadena, TX rents were the second fastest growing, jumping 14.8%.

Missouri City, TX‘s one bedroom rent was up 12.5%, making it the third fastest growing in the metro.
