Chevron Houston Marathon

Head downtown to cheer on all the people who set out to run the 26.2-mile course through Houston. The marathon attracts more than 20,000 entrants from around the world and 200,000 spectators, so meet some new friends or bring some old ones and cheer on the runners.
Chance the Rapper: The Big Tour!

Along with guests Lil Yachty and Taylor Bennett, Chance the Rapper is coming to town and bringing the noise. Grab drinks and dinner downtown before you catch the GRAMMY award winner and his openers at the Toyota Center on The Big Tour!
Mardi Gras Houston 2020

February 22, 2020
The third annual Mardi Gras celebration takes place in February and you won’t want to miss it. Celebrate this unique event by imbibing, eating, and watching the festive parade. Bars and venues will open for the day, welcoming locals with drink specials, DJs, and more.
Houston Rockets

December—June, 2020
Is this the year the Rockets win the NBA Finals? Catch the James Harden and Russell Westbrook show in-person and cheer on your hometown squad. Check the Rockets’ website for dates and game times. The regular season runs through April, but plan to watch them all the way through June (because we’re hopeful for some playoff action).
The Nutcracker

Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like watching a festive live performance. The City Ballet of Houston is putting on the Nutcracker at the Wortham Theater and it’s worth checking out. The Hoston Press even recommends it!
The Houston Rodeo

March 3-20, 2020
Is there anything more Texas than getting your boots on and heading to the rodeo? The premier rodeo event in the country lasts for nearly 3 weeks and includes everything from nightly concerts and barbeque cook-offs to livestock shows and trail rides. Every night after the rodeo ends, there’s a concert from the top country and pop artists. The lineup is chock full of stars, like Brad Paisley and so be sure and check it out before heading down to see the rest of the action.
