Detroit Metro Report: May 2018

The first ever Zumper Detroit Metro Report analyzed active listings in April across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Michigan state median one bedroom rent was $773 last month.

Troy, MI was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,360.

Novi, MI ranked as the second priciest with rent at $1,140.

Dearborn, MI was third at $1,080.

Detroit, MI rent was the most affordable in the metro at $590.

Pontiac, MI followed closely behind as the second least expensive with rent at $600.

Taylor, MI ranked as third with one bedrooms priced at $660.

Growth Rate

Farmington Hills, MI was second with rent climbing 14.8%.

Livonia, MI rent had the third largest year over year growth rate, increasing 11.8%.
