Denver Rent Up 15.1% In 2017

Denver ended the year as the 18th most expensive rental market in the nation with one bedrooms down 2.8% to $1,370 and two bedrooms staying flat at $1,810. Though prices were fairly flat last month, on a year over year basis, Denver saw both bedroom types climb over 15%.

Overall, Denver neighborhoods saw a mixture of upward and downward rental growth with no concentration in any specific parts of the city this year. The areas with the fastest growing rents were West Highland (+19%), Cole (+18%), and Barnum West (+15%). On the other end of the spectrum, Berkeley (-20%), Whittier (-16%), and Dayton Triangle (-13%) saw the biggest rent dips in 2017.
