Denver ranked as the 20th most expensive rental market in the nation this month, coming ahead of Pittsburgh, New Orleans, and Minneapolis. The price of one bedroom units grew 1.5% to $1,340, while two bedrooms remained flat at $1,800.
While Althmar Park and Capitol Hill had the fastest growing rents since last quarter, both up around 12%, Berkeley and Sunny Side saw the biggest rent dips, both down over 10%.
This fall, Central Business District ($2,000), Golden Triangle ($1,975), and Belcaro ($1,800) were the most expensive neighborhoods to rent. Mid-range priced rentals, less than $1,300, could be found in Whittier, University, and Wellshire.
The most affordable areas were Harvey Park ($795), Westwood ($895), and Mar Lee ($895).
