The Zumper Denver Metro Report analyzed active listings in May 2019 across 12 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Colorado state median rent was $1,268 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

Denver, Colorado remained the most expensive city in the metro with rent at $1,540.

Broomfield & Centennial, CO tied for second with one bedrooms both priced at $1,510.

Littleton, CO saw rent drop $20 to $1,450 but round out the top 3 markets yet again.

The Least Expensive

Aurora, CO continued to rank as the most affordable city with rent at $1,190.

Northglenn, CO followed closely behind as the next least expensive with one bedrooms priced at $1,210.

Arvada, CO rent was third at $1,280.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Arvada, CO had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 11.3%.

Northglenn, CO followed closely behind with the second fastest growing rent, climbing 11%.

Thornton, CO saw rent jump 8.2%, making it third.
