The Zumper Denver Metro Report analyzed active listings in March 2019 across 12 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Colorado state median rent was $1,266 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Littleton, CO moved up one spot to claim the title as the most expensive city with rent growing $60 to $1,550 last month.

Denver, Colorado dropped to second with rent at $1,530.

Broomfield Centennial, CO tied for third with prices both at $1,510.

Aurora, CO continued to rank as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $1,190.

Northglenn, CO was second with rent at $1,210.

Arvada, CO stayed as third, though rent grew $40 to $1,280.

Growth Rate

Littleton, CO had the largest year over year rental growth rate, up 14.8%.

Arvada, CO rent was the second fastest growing, climbing 14.3%.

Denver, Colorado ranked as third with rent growing 9.3% since this time last year.
