The Zumper Dallas Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in August 2019 across 20 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $968 last month.

The Most Expensive
–Grapevine and Richardson were the most expensive cities with one bedrooms priced at $1,290.
–Frisco rent was down 2.3% last month to $1,250 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Dallas was third with rent priced at $1,240.
The Least Expensive
-Arlington ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $860.
–Bedford was second with rent at $880.
-Mesquite and Denton ranked as third with rent staying flat at $890.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Grand Prairie had the fastest growing rent, up 14.4% since this time last year.
–Fort Worth saw rent climb 11.3%, making it the second fastest growing.
– Mesquite was third with rent growing 8.5%
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Arlington had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.9%.
–Plano rent jumped 2.6% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Frisco ranked as third with rent up 2.5%.
