Dallas Metro Report: October 2019

The Zumper Dallas Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in September 2019 across 21 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $964 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Frisco was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,280.

–Richardson rent dropped 1.6% to $1,270 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Grapevine was third with rent priced at $1,260.

The Least Expensive

–Bedford ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $860.

–Denton was second with rent at $870.

–Mesquite ranked as third with rent down 1.1% last month to $880.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Grand Prairie had the fastest growing rent, up 14.9% since this time last year.

–North Richland Hills and Arlington both saw rents climb 11.1%, making them tied for the second fastest growing.

– Fort Worth was third with rent growing 7.5%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Carrolton and Arlington had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.9%.

–Lewisville rent jumped 2.9% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Frisco ranked as third with rent up 2.4%.
