The Zumper Dallas Metro Report analyzed around 20,000 active listings in October across the 14 most populated cities in the area to highlight the most expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Dallas, Texas ranked as the most expensive city to rent, with one bedroom units at a median of $1,210. Rent here is currently over $350 more expensive than the state median of $855.
Richardson, TX, only $80 behind Dallas, came in as the second priciest area to rent, with one bedroom units at a median of $1,130.
Plano, TX was the third most expensive city with a $1,070 median for one bedroom units.
Frisco, TX, nearly tied with Plano, had one bedrooms priced a median of $1,060. Prices here were over $200 more expensive than the state median.

Fort Worth, TX one bedroom prices grew 11% since last year, making it the city with the fastest growing rent in the Dallas metro area.
Frisco, TX had a yearly growth rate of 10.4%, ranking just behind Fort Worth as the second city with the fastest growing rents.
Richardson, TX had the third fastest growing rents, with one bedrooms up 8.7% since last year.
Plano, TX followed closely behind Richardson with an 8.1% yearly growth rate.
