The Zumper Dallas Metro Report analyzed over 39,000 active listings in April across 14 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
Cities Ranked By Rent
Le plus cher
–Dallas, Texas rent, although remaining flat this month at $1,320, was still the priciest in the metro area.
–Richardson, TX ranked as second most expensive with one bedroom units priced at $1,250.
–Irving, TX outpaced Frisco this month to become the 3rd priciest city with rent at $1,100.
Le moins cher
–Mesquite, TX continued to rank as the most affordable city to rent. The price of one bedroom units dropped $10 since last month to $650.
–Arlington, TX rent was the second least expensive in the metro area at $680.
–Grand Prairie, TX was the third most affordable city with rent at $700.
Yearly Growth Rate

–Irving, TX, similar to last month, had the fastest growing rent since last year, up 14.6%.
–Fort Worth, TX rent had the second largest yearly growth rate at 14.3%.
–Richardson, TX rent was the third fastest growing, jumping 10.6% since this time last year.

–Denton, TX had the fastest growing rent since last month, up 5.1%.
–Irving, TX followed suit with rent climbing 2.8% since last month.
