Dallas Metro Report : March 2017

The Zumper Dallas Metro Report analyzed over 42,000 active listings in February across the 14 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Most Expensive

Dallas, Texas was the most expensive city to rent in the metro area. Median price for a one bedroom apartment was $1,300.

Richardson, TX came in second behind Dallas with a median price of $1,200.

Frisco, TX ranked third highest with rent at $1,090 a month.

Least Expensive

Mesquite, TX was the cheapest city in the Dallas metro this month with one bedroom rent at $660.

Arlington, TX was only $20 pricier at $680, making it the second most affordable city.

Grand Praire, TX was the third least expensive city at $710.

Yearly Growth Rate

Fastest Growing

Richardson, Frisco, Irving, and Fort Worth tied for the fastest growing rents, all up 15% since this time last year.

Dallas, Texas followed closely behind at 13%.

Garland, TX was the third fastest growing at a more moderate 7% yearly growth rate.
