Dallas Metro Report: June 2017

The Zumper Dallas Metro Report analyzed active listings in May across 14 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Dallas, Texas rent, although dropping $40 this month to $1,290, was still the most expensive in the metro area.

Richardson, TX ranked as the second priciest city with rent at $1,260.

Frisco, TX outpaced Irving this month to become third most expensive city to rent. The price of one bedroom units grew $40 since last month to $1,130.

Mesquite, TX remained the most affordable city with rent at $650.

Arlington, TX ranked as second with one bedroom units priced at $680.

Grand Prairie, TX rent, only $10 more than Arlington, was the third least expensive.

Fort WorthRichardson, TX had the largest yearly growth rates, both up around 12%.

Irving, TX rent grew 9.8% since last year, making it the second fastest growing.

Dallas, Texas had the third fastest growing rent, climbing 8.4% since this time last year.

Garland, TX had the fastest growing rent since last month, up a whopping 5.6%.

Denton, TX rent had the second largest monthly growth rate, climbing 4.8%.

Frisco, TX ranked as third with rent growing 3.7% since last month.
