Dallas Metro Report: January 2020

The Zumper Dallas Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in December 2019 across 20 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $937 last month.

–Farmers Branch was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,300.

–Frisco rent dropped 0.8% to $1,270 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Grapevine was third with rent priced at $1,260.

–Bedford and Mesquite tied for the most affordable city with one bedrooms both priced at $850.

–Arlington was second with rent at $860.

–Garland rent dropped 5.3% to $900 and was the third least expensive.

–Plano had the fastest growing rent, up 7.2% since this time last year.

–Denton saw rent climb 7.1%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Lewisville was third with rent jumping 5.0%.

–Lewisville had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 2.9%.

–Allen rent climbed 2.8% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–McKinney ranked as third with rent increasing 1.9%.
