The Zumper Dallas Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in January 2020 across 20 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $945 last month.

The Most Expensive
–Farmers Branch was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,290.
–Grapevine rent grew 2.4% to $1,290 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Frisco was third with rent at $1,260.
The Least Expensive
–Mesquite ranked as the most affordable citiy with one bedrooms priced at $850.
–Arlington was second with rent at $870.
–Bedford rent grew 3.5% to $880 and ranked as the third least expensive.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Plano had the fastest growing rent, up 8.8% since this time last year.
–Grand Prairie saw rent climb 8.6%, making it the second fastest growing.
– Denton was third with rent climbing 7.1%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Euless had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.3%.
–Allen rent jumped 4.5% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Bedford ranked as third with rent increasing 3.5%.
