The Zumper Charlotte Metro Report analyzed active listings in November across 7 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The North Carolina median one bedroom rent was $897 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Le plus cher

Charlotte, Caroline du Nord one bedroom rent dropped $20 to $1,140 but stayed the most expensive in the metro.

Huntersville, NC was second with rent at $1,070.

Davidson, NC saw rent grow $40 to $1,010 but remained the third priciest city.

Gastonia, NC rent took a $20 dip to $690 and continued to rank as the most affordable in the metro.

Concord, NC was the second least expensive city with rent at $890.

Mooresville, NC moved down one spot to become the third least expensive with rent dropping $10 to $940.

Growth Rate

Concord, NC had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.6%.

Huntersville, NC rent was the second fastest growing, climbing 15.1%.

Gastonia, NC followed closely behind as third with rent jumping 15% since this time last year.
