The first ever Zumper Charlotte Metro Report analyzed active listings in September across 7 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The North Carolina state median rent was $819 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
Le plus cher
–Charlotte, Caroline du Nord was the most expensive city in the metro with one bedroom units priced at $1,130.
–Davidson, NC ranked as second with rent at $1,020.
–Cornelius, NC followed closely behind as third with rent at $990.
Le moins cher
–Salisbury, NC rent was the most affordable in the metro area at $550, more than $550 less expensive than Baltimore.
–Albemarie, NC prices were only $20 more expensive than Salisbury, at $570, making it the second least expensive.
–Mooresville, NC was the third most affordable city with rent at $790.
Growth Rate

–Charlotte, Caroline du Nord, along with being the priciest city in the metro, also had the largest yearly rental growth rate, up 10.8%.
–Albemarle, NC ranked as second with rent climbing 9.6% since this time last year.
