The Zumper Charlotte Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in October 2019 across 5 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The North Carolina one bedroom median rent was $941 last month.

–Charlotte was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,220.

–Huntersville rent grew 0.9% to $1,160 and ranked as the second priciest city.

-Mooresville was third with rent at $1,010.

–Gastonia ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $780.

–Rock Hill was second with rent at $990.

–Rock Hill had the fastest growing rent, up 15.1% since this time last year.

–Gastonia saw rent climb 9.9%, making it the second fastest growing.

-Huntersville was third with rent climbing 8.4%.
