The Zumper Charlotte Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in December 2019 across 6 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The North Carolina one bedroom median rent was $915 last month.

–Charlotte was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,160.

–Huntersville rent ranked as the second priciest at $1,130.

-Mooresville saw rent grow 2% to $1,030 and rank as third.

–Gastonia was the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $770.

–Rock Hill rent dropped 2.1% to $950 and rank as the second least expensive.

-Concord was third with rent at an even $1,000.

–Rock Hill had the fastest growing rent, up 14.5% since this time last year.

–Gastonia saw rent climb 11.6%, making it the second fastest growing.

-Mooresville rent jumped 8.4%, making it third.

–Gastonia rent jumped 1.3% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
