The Zumper Charlotte Metro Report analyzed active listings in January 2019 across 7 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The North Carolina median one bedroom rent was $908 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Le plus cher

Charlotte, Caroline du Nord continued to have the most expensive rent with one bedrooms priced at $1,160.

Huntersville, NC remained second with rent at $1,050.

Davidson, NC rent dropped $20 to $980 but stayed the third priciest in the metro.

Gastonia, NC was the most affordable city with rent at $690.

Concord, NC rent stayed stable at $890 and as the second least expensive.

Cornelius, NC rent dropped $30, settling at $950, and down one spot to rank as the third most affordable.

Growth Rate

Huntersville, NC rent had the largest year over year growth rate, up 14.1%.

ConcordGastonia, NC rents tied for the second fastest growing, both climbing 11.3% since this time last year.

Mooresville, NC was third with rent jumping 9.1%.
