Boston Metro Report: November 2019

The Zumper Boston Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in October 2019 across 16 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Massachusetts one bedroom median rent was $1,913 last month.

–Cambridge was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $2,660.

–Boston rent grew 0.8% to $2,530 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Everett was third with rent priced at $2,310.

–Manchester ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $1,160.

–Worcester was second with rent at $1,250.

–Lowell ranked as third with rent down 1.4% to $1,460.

–Malden had the fastest growing rent, up 11.8% since this time last year.

–Newton saw rent climb 9.9%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Revere was third with rent climbing 9.7%.

–Chelsea rent jumped 4.9% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Malden ranked as third with rent up 2.7%.
