The Zumper Boston Metro Report analyzed active listings in November across 16 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The state median one bedroom rent was $1,813 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
Le plus cher
–Cambridge, MA rent grew 3.9% to $2,400 and remained the most expensive in the metro.
–Brookline, MA ranked as second with one bedrooms priced at $2,290.
–Boston, Massachusetts rent was only $40 less expensive than Brookline’s at $2,250 and ranked as the third priciest.
Le moins cher
–Fall River, MA rent jumped 6% to $890 but continued to rank as the most affordable.
–Worcester, MA was the second least expensive with rent at $1,150.
–Lawrence, MA fell behind Brockton to rank as the third most affordable with one bedrooms priced at $1,280.
