Visit the Saddle Rack Booth. Saddle Rack often has a booth set up where you can spin a wheel for awesome prizes. And when we say awesome, we mean awesome. Not only could you win a cowboy boot shaped beer cozy or bottle opener (super cute), you can win an upgrade to the Saddle Rack VIP section of the Lawn. You’ll get folding chairs and a prime location at the very front of the Lawn. Plus you’ll get a wristband for easy re-entry. They also give away concert tickets (!!!) to upcoming shows at Shoreline. P.S. Did you know the original Saddle Rack was in San Jose?
Bring a Sealed Water Bottle. Don’t want to pay $$$ for water? Security will let you in with a water bottle if it is factory sealed!
Be Lawn Prepared. Make sure you bring towels or picnic blankets to sit on in between sets so you’re prepared even if you don’t win that awesome upgrade. The Lawn is on a huge slope, so your feet may get tired of standing!
Get to the Dirt Lot Early. With a plethora of fun things to do inside the venue, we suggest you pull into the parking lot super early. Traffic may be fine heading out of the city to Mountain View, but you’ll definitely hit a jam when you reach the parking situation at Shoreline. Pulling in early will help you avoid all of this, and then you can go grab a drink or have a burger at Guy Fieri’s “Guy’s Burger Joint!”
Wear Your Cowboy Boots. Country concerts showcase some of the best cowboy boots in the Bay Area. Period. Plus, they have a lot of traction if you’re on the Lawn!

If you’re an SF local you know this! Dress in layers and bring a jacket. Though the sun may be out during the day, the temperature will drop as the San Francisco sun sets! This weekend is the FREE (you heard that right, folks) “Summerthing” concert in Golden Gate Park. It’s in the “Sharon Meadow” part of the park, which located on Bowling Green Drive. Landmarks include the McLaren Lodge (across the street) and the Golden Gate Park Tennis Courts (adjacent). The lineup includes Elle King, Rachel Platten, Mat Kearney, and Kelly Clarkson. Grab a bite to eat before the festivities at Park Chow on 9th Ave or get a carnitas burrito to go at Gordo Taqueria.
