Mapping Atlanta Rent Prices: January 2017

Starting off 2017, Atlanta ranked as the 20th most expensive city to rent in the nation, coming ahead of Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Madison. This month, the price of one bedroom units grew 1.5% to a median of $1,350, while two bedroom units increased 1.2% to $1,690.

At a median of $1,725 for one bedroom units, Peachtree Heights West was the most expensive neighborhood to rent this winter. South Tuxedo Park ($1,710), Midtown ($1,700), and Centennial Hill ($1,695) were the next priciest areas.

More affordable rentals, priced around $1,200, could be found in Marietta Street Artery, Brookwood Hills, and West Paces Ferry.

Home Park and Loring Heights had some of the fastest growing rents this winter, both up around 10% since last quarter.
