Atlanta Metro Report: September 2019

The Zumper Atlanta Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in August 2019 across 14 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $1,031 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Decatur was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,480.

–Alpharetta and Atlanta rents were both priced at $1,400 and tied for the second priciest.

–Sandy Springs was third with rent priced at $1,390.

The Least Expensive

-East Point ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $810.

–Tucker was second with rent at $910.

-Marietta ranked as third with rent down 1.9% last month to $1,010.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Decatur had the fastest growing rent, up 6.5% since this time last year.

–Alpharetta saw rent climb 6.1%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Suwanee and Lawrenceville were both third with rents both growing 5.7%

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Alpharetta had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.3%.

–East Point rent jumped 5.2% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Decatur ranked as third with rent up 5.0%.
