The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in August across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, Géorgie outpaced Sandy Springs this month to rank as the most expensive city to rent in the metro. One bedrooms were priced at $1,330.
–Sandy Springs, GA rent fell $40 and one spot since last month, now ranking as the second priciest.
– Alpharetta, GA held onto its position as third with rent at $1,270.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA rent stayed flat at $750 and continued to rank as the least expensive.
–Norcross, GA held onto its position as the second most affordable city to rent with one bedrooms at $800.
– Marietta, GA rent grew slightly, up $10 to $880, since last month and was the third least expensive.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Gainesville, GA rent had the largest yearly growth rate, up 15.4%.
–Newnan, GA followed behind with rent climbing 9.3% since this time last year.
–Sandy Springs, GA was third with a 7.4% growth rate.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Newnan, GA rent also had a large monthly growth rate, up 4.4%.
