Atlanta Metro Report: October 2019

The Zumper Atlanta Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in September 2019 across 17 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $1,013 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Decatur was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,470.

–Atlanta rent grew 0.7% to $1,410 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Sandy Springs was third with rent priced at $1,370.

The Least Expensive

–East Point ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $770.

–Tucker was second with rent at $870.

–Marietta ranked as third with rent staying flat at $1,010.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Decatur had the fastest growing rent, up 6.5% since this time last year.

–Suwanee saw rent climb 5.7%, making it the second fastest growing.

–McDonough was third with rent growing 4.8%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Woodstock had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 1.7%.

–Smyrna and Dunwoody rents both jumped 0.8% last month, making them tied for the second fastest growing.

–Atlanta ranked as third with rent up 0.7%.
