The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in April across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median was $966 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, Géorgie saw rent drop $20 to $1,410 but continued to rank as the most expensive in the metro.
–Sandy Springs, GA rent grew $30 to $1,310 and remained the second priciest.
–Smyrna, GA moved up 2 spots to rank as the third most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,250.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA held onto its position as the most affordable city with rent at $820.
–Norcross, GA remained second at $880.
–Newnan, GA followed closely behind as third least expensive with rent at $890.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Gainesville, GA had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, climbing 15.5%.
–Norcross, GA was second with rent growing 11.4% since this time last year.
–Atlanta, Géorgie saw rent jump 8.5%, making it third.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Gainesville, GA rent also had a large monthly growth rate, up 5.1%.
–Smyrna, GA had the second fastest growing rent last month, climbing 5%.
