The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in February across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median was $1,036 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, Géorgie rent increased $30 to $1,460 and continued to be the most expensive in the metro.
–Sandy Springs, GA ranked as second with one bedrooms priced at $1,260.
–Alpharetta, Dunwoody, & Johns Creek, GA all tied for third with rents at $1,200.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA saw rent grow $20 to $800 but stayed the most affordable.
–Norcross, GA remained the second least expensive city with rent at $850.
–Newnan, GA ranked as third with one bedrooms at $900.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Gainesville, GA had the largest year over year rental growth rate, up 15.9%.
–Marietta, GA rent climbed 12.5% since this time last year, making it the second fastest growing.
–Norcross, GA was third with rent jumping 10.4%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Marietta, GA also had a large monthly rental growth rate as well, increasing 5.3%.
–Roswell, GA followed closely behind as second with rent up 4.8%.
–Smyrna, GA ranked as third with prices growing 4.6% last month.
