The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in June across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median rent was $992 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, Géorgie saw rent climb $20 to $1,440 and continue to rank as the most expensive.
–Sandy Springs, GA rent rose $50 to $1,320 but remained the second priciest in the metro.
–Alpharetta, Johns Creek & Smyrna, GA all tied for third with prices at $1,240.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA ranked as the most affordable city with rent at $820.
–Newnan, GA remained the second least expensive with one bedrooms priced at $880.
–Norcross, GA rent stayed flat at $900, making it third.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Smyrna, GA had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.9%.
–Gainesville, GA followed closely behind as second with rent climbing 15.5%.
–Atlanta, Géorgie ranked as third with rent jumping 14.3% since this time last year.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Alpharetta, GA had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.2%.
