The Zumper Atlanta Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in December 2019 across 23 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $991 last month.

–Atlanta was the most expensive city with one bedrooms at $1,420.

–Alpharetta rent grew 3.8% to $1,380 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Brookhaven and Sandy Springs tied for third with rents both priced at $1,360.

–Rome ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $570.

–East Point and LaGrange were second with rents both at $770.

–Tucker was third with rent at $880.

–Newnan had the fastest growing rent, up 15.6% since this time last year.

–Smyrna saw rent climb 14.2%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Rome was third with rent jumping 14.0%.

–Alpharetta rent jumped 3.8% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Smyrna ranked as third with rent climbing 3.2%.
