The Zumper Atlanta Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in January 2020 across 19 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $981 last month.

The Most Expensive
–Atlanta was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,430.
–Alpharetta rent grew 1.4% to $1,400 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Sandy Springs was third with rent at $1,380.
The Least Expensive
–Rome ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $540.
–East Point was second with rent at $730.
–Tucker rent dropped 1.1% to $870 and ranked as the third least expensive.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Rome had the fastest growing rent, up 14.9% since this time last year.
–Smyrna saw rent climb 11.8%, making it the second fastest growing.
–Rome was third with rent increasing 9.5%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Smyrna and Stockbridge had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 3.1%.
–Roswell rent jumped 1.9% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Sandy Springs ranked as third with rent climbing 1.5%.
