The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in January across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median was $1,030 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, Géorgie saw one bedroom rent climb to $1,430, holding onto its position as the most expensive city in the metro.
–Sandy Springs, GA, now ranking ahead of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Dunwoody, was the second priciest city with rent at $1,260.
–Alpharetta, GA was third with one bedrooms priced at $1,200.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA rent remained flat at $780 and continued to rank as the most affordable in the metro.
–Norcross, GA was second with one bedrooms priced at $820.
–Newnan, GA fell behind Marietta to become the third least expensive with rent at $890.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Gainesville, GA was the only city in the metro with a significant year over year growth rate, up 14.7%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Roswell, GA had the fastest growing rent last month, climbing 5%.
–Alpharetta, GA saw rent jump 4.3% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
