Atlanta Metro Report: December 2019

The Zumper Atlanta Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in November 2019 across 18 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $995 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Atlanta was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,430.

–Brookhaven and Sandy Springs rents were both at $1,370, making them tied for second.

–Alpharetta and Decatur were tied for third with rents both at $1,330.

The Least Expensive

–East Point ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $810.

–Tucker was second with rent at $870.

–Stockbridge, McDonough, Marietta, and Douglasville all tied for third with rents at $990.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–East Point had the fastest growing rent, up 15.7% since this time last year.

–Sandy Springs saw rent climb 12.3%, making it second.

–Stockbridge was third with rent jumping 6.5%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–East Point had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.2%.

–Roswell rent jumped 2.9% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Sandy Springs ranked as third with rent climbing 1.5%.
