The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in July across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median rent was $997 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
The Most Expensive
–Atlanta, Géorgie rent rose another $20 to $1,460 but continued to be the most expensive in the metro.
–Sandy Springs, GA remained second with one bedrooms priced at $1,340.
–Alpharetta, GA saw rent climb $60 to $1,300 but stayed the third priciest city.
The Least Expensive
–Gainesville, GA rent grew $40 to $860 but remained the most affordable in the metro.
–Norcross, GA fell to second least expensive with rent at $890.
–Newnan, GA rose to third with one bedrooms priced at $900.
Growth Rate
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Smyrna, GA rent had the largest year over year growth rate, up 15.2%.
–Marietta, GA was second with rent climbing 14.9%.
–Gainesville, GA saw rent jump 14.7%, making it third.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Gainesville, GA had the fastest growing rent last month, up 4.9%.
–Alpharetta, GA followed closely behind as second with rent increasing 4.8%.
–Marietta, GA ranked as third with rent climbing 4.2%.
