Atlanta Metro Report: April 2018

The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in March across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median was $1,001 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

Atlanta, Géorgie rent saw a $30 dip to $1,430 but remained the priciest in the metro.

Sandy Springs, GA was second with one bedrooms priced at $1,280.

Dunwoody rent grew $20 to $1,220 and continued to rank as the third most expensive.

The Least Expensive

Gainesville, GA rent dropped to $780 and kept its ranking as the most affordable in the metro.

Norcross, GA ranked as the second least expensive city with rent at $880.

Newnan, GA followed behind as third at $910.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Gainesville, GA rent was the fastest growing since this time last year, up 14.7%.

Norcross, GA had the second largest year over year rental growth rate, climbing 12.8%.

Marietta, GA rent jumped 8%, making it third.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Smyrna, GA was the only city with a large monthly rental growth rate, up 5.3%.
